The IS200TPROH1CAA Speedtronic series (covering Mark V, Mark VI, and Mark VIe) Emergency Protection Terminal Board (EPTB) for gas turbine control systems is designed to ensure the safe operation of turbines and other equipment. It is a key component in industrial automation control systems, responsible for signal processing and emergency protection.
As a rectangular printed circuit board, it integrates three PPRO I/O modules and a pair of voltage transformers, allowing access to bus and generator voltage signals and conditioning of speed signals. It can also scale and condition various analog signals, including LVDT inputs, servo valve outputs, thermocouple inputs, and 4-20mA signals, adapting to different types of sensor data.
It monitors key parameters of the turbine in real time, such as speed, temperature, pressure, and vibration. If any parameter exceeds a safety threshold, it quickly triggers emergency protection actions such as turbine tripping and shutdown to prevent catastrophic equipment failure.
It can transmit generator signals, pulse signals, etc., to the TCQC board via JE connectors, and write the conditioned signals to the STCA board via 3PL connectors. It can also be connected to the SCADA system and is compatible with simplex and triple modular redundancy (TMR) systems, achieving seamless collaboration with the entire control system.
